A new demo for Soul Dier – Part 1, the upcoming story-driven tactical JRPG from Gawehold and Weonix, is now available. This updated demo gives players access to the full prologue section of the game and supports save file continuity with the main release scheduled for October.

Set in a mysterious fantasy world, Soul Dier follows a group of characters seeking to recover their lost memories and uncover the truth behind an evil legion threatening the land.
The game combines grid-based tactical combat with traditional JRPG storytelling. Positioning, directional defense, and terrain cover all play key roles in each battle.
Part 1 of the game includes over 30 handcrafted levels and offers an estimated 15–20 hours of playtime. Players can expect a wide variety of enemies, hand-drawn cutscenes, a light progression system without grinding, and more than 40 original tracks in the soundtrack.

The game is built for single-player and supports Steam Cloud saves and full controller compatibility. It will be available in English and Traditional Chinese.
The developers describe the demo as offering roughly 10% of the content planned for Part 1. It serves as an introduction to the game’s characters, world, and combat systems.
While shorter than the main chapters that follow, the prologue is a self-contained experience designed to help players decide whether the full game is a good fit.
This is not the first demo for Soul Dier. A previous version was made available via Itch.io and Steam during earlier development, but it has since been unlisted.

The new demo completely replaces the older build. It includes different content, focusing on the prologue instead of the first half of Chapter 1, and reflects the current state of the game in both systems and polish.
The demo and the final game share the same internal versioning, meaning any progress made during the prologue demo will carry over to the full game. Save files are fully compatible, and any achievements earned during the demo will automatically be re-triggered when starting Part 1 with the same save.
Soul Dier – Part 1 launches on October 24, 2025. The demo is available now on Steam. Below you can find the gameplay trailer.
