New Turn-Based RPGs Released This Week - May 16, 2026

The survival horror tactics game moves back from April 28 while the team finishes a new market and weapon progression feature inspired by player feedback.

Vultures: Scavengers of Death has been delayed by approximately two weeks and will now release on May 13, 2026.

Vultures - Scavengers of Death

The game was originally set to launch on April 28, but the team decided to push the date back a little over a month so they could finish working on new weapon upgrade system that came from player feedback from the Steam Next Fest demo.

According to the developers, this feature is one of the most requested additions from the community. It also ties in with one of the game’s clearer influences, since Resident Evil has been cited as one of the major inspirations behind the project. The studio chose to take more time and make sure that it fits properly into the final experience.

The new system is built around survival and scavenging. Each level players will be able to search the environment for valuables then exchange those items for credits through an in-game market.

Those credits can then be used to improve weapons and access other options available through the market. This loop makes exploration more practical in terms of how players advance throughout the game.

Searching levels carefully is no longer just about finding clues or resources in the moment; valuables found during these searches can now help improve character strength through weapon upgrades.

The developers have shared an early look at what the new market interface might look like when complete (though they noted that current visuals are still a work-in-progress and use placeholder images that will be replaced prior to release).

The short delay is intended to provide the team enough room to finish work on this addition properly and launch Vultures: Scavengers of Death in a stronger state on May 13 via Steam.
