Mark your calendars: TactiCon 2025 is set to run from July 17–21, bringing together some of the best and most exciting names from strategy, simulation, and management games. This year, I’m particularly excited because during the event, we will learn more details about some very promising tactical games.
Created by publishers Hooded Horse and FireSquid, this annual digital convention celebrates the genre with deep discounts, fresh announcements, and first looks at highly anticipated titles.

This year’s event will feature a quick-fire showcase to launch the festivities, highlighting a mix of new and upcoming games across the strategy space. Steam users can expect a dedicated sales page throughout the week, making it an ideal chance to pick up hits from the past year or explore intriguing new offerings soon to launch.
Highlights confirmed so far include new titles and updates from FireSquid, such as the god game Reus 2, city builder City Tales – Medieval Era, and intriguing new projects like Becoming Saint and Xenopurge.
Meanwhile, Hooded Horse will spotlight recent releases like He is Coming and Every Day We Fight, alongside discounts for popular favorites such as Manor Lords, 9 Kings, and Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic.

Additional announcements include a new reveal for FireFly Studios’ Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition, fresh news from Fulqrum Publishing about New Arc Line, and the Steam debut of an upcoming turn-based roguelite. Fans can also expect updates about Ex Sanguis, the next project from Othercide developer Lightbulb Crew.
Honestly, I can wait for it. TactiCon 2025 is set for July 17–21, 2025, below the teaser trailer.
