Mecha Legends and Fresh Faces in the new title of the famous Tactical RPG franchise
Bandai Namco has locked in a release date for Super Robot Wars Y: the tactical RPG juggernaut hits Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam on August 28, 2025. Digital pre-orders are now open for PS5 and PC, with three editions up for grabs—Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate—each stacked with missions, DLC, and early access perks.
In classic Super Robot Wars fashion, this latest installment blends tactical, turn-based combat with a lineup of iconic anime mechs and pilots. Players will battle across grid-based maps, fine-tuning their squads and unleashing flashy special attacks. Returning fan favorites and several newcomers will join the fight—including some making their console debut.

New to SRW Y is the Assist Link system, letting sidekick characters enter the fray with powerful boosts and support moves. There will be two special editions:
- Deluxe Edition (€94.99): Base game, bonus missions, DLC 1 & 2, early DLC access, and exclusive items.
- Ultimate Edition (€119.99): Everything in Deluxe plus a Premium Sound & Data Pack—31 anime songs, original tracks, design docs, and even more missions.
