It’s one of the games I’ve been most curious about, and Dru Law also added it to its list of most anticipated RPGs of 2026 and after a very slight delay, it has finally made its PC debut. I’m talking about Ledgerbound and its intriguing blend of SRPG mechanics and dating sim. Here are some details about the game and its launch trailer.
What happens when the fate of a fantasy kingdom depends on an insurance adjuster? Ledgerbound has an answer, and apparently it involves turn-based battles, questionable corporate policies, plenty of paperwork, and potentially inappropriate relationships with your coworkers.
Developed and published by OmniMegaSuperCorp, the narrative-driven tactical RPG and dating sim is now available on PC following its release on August 13, 2026. The game is also launching with a 10% discount available until August 20.
Ledgerbound puts players in the rather unheroic shoes of an insurance adjuster working for a fantasy corporation. Things become considerably more complicated when some of the world’s greatest heroes are killed by an ancient enemy, leaving the company responsible for their life-insurance payouts.
There is, however, another option: defeat the threat yourself and demonstrate that the fallen adventurers were simply insufficiently prepared. If successful, the claims can conveniently be denied.
Behind the corporate satire is a proper grid-based tactical RPG. Players assemble a party and take on a series of strategically designed encounters, with hundreds of abilities available for customizing the team. Characters can also equip stat-boosting corporate gear and follow different promotion paths that unlock additional skills as the campaign progresses.
Combat is only one side of Ledgerbound, though. The RPG places significant emphasis on its story, dialogue, and relationships, with player choices affecting how events develop. Time management also enters the equation: evenings can be spent improving tactical abilities or developing relationships with party members, forcing players to decide where their limited time is best invested.
And yes, romance is very much part of the job description. The companions recruited during the adventure can become potential romantic partners, although the company naturally expects employees to complete the appropriate HR paperwork before things get too personal. The cast is fully voiced, while the writing mixes workplace comedy and fantasy parody with more grounded conversations between the characters.
The result is an unusual combination of turn-based tactics, party building, narrative choices, time management, corporate satire, and dating-sim elements, all wrapped around the absurd premise of trying to save both the world and your employer from financial disaster.
Ledgerbound is available now on Steam, with support for Windows and macOS. At the time of writing, its early Steam reception is also sitting at Very Positive, with 92% of its 65 counted user reviews rated positively. Below, I share the launch trailer.
