As you can see from the November 2024 recap, the first week is packed with some of the most anticipated titles of the month. On my end, I’ve decided to change things up. Instead of publishing a recap at the end of the week with what has been released, I’m now preparing a preview of the upcoming week, giving you a heads-up on the major releases and making the start of your week a bit more enjoyable.
Let’s see everything ready to debut this week. We have a great spinoff, some glorious series comebacks, and a very promising 4x strategy game.
Lost Eidolons: Veil of the Witch (E.A.) – PC
We’re kicking things off strong with the Lost Eidolons spinoff, Veil of the Witch. Launching on November 5th, this roguelite version keeps the tactical depth of the original game but adds a roguelite structure with explorations, progression, and unlockables.
The game immerses players on a mysterious island where survival hinges on tactical combat and exploration. where players can recruit allies, navigate perilous journeys, and engage in grid-based battles that blend the tactical depth of the original Lost Eidolons with roguelite elements. It will be available in Early Access on PC. I’m currently playing it to prepare a detailed overview for my YouTube channel.
Metal Slug Tactics – PC/PlayStation/Switch/Xbox
On the same day, you’ll have to split your time because another highly anticipated roguelite drops: Metal Slug Tactics. This new entry in the iconic Metal Slug arcade series will debut on PC and all major consoles and it brings the classic Metal Slug series into a new genre, combining its iconic run-and-gun action with grid-based tactical combat and roguelite elements. Players can assemble a squad of familiar characters, utilize tactical maneuvers, and engage in dynamic battles across hand-crafted pixelated maps.
Mario & Luigi: Brothership – Nintendo Switch
November 7th will be a huge day for Nintendo Switch owners (finally, I’m one of them too!). After years of waiting, we’re getting a new entry in the Mario & Luigi RPG series titled Brothership. This adventure unfolds on the vibrant island of Concordia and brings back all the mechanics that made the series famous like the Bros. Moves and Attacks and Luigi Logic to solve puzzle phases during exploration.
Valefor – PC/Mobile
Then there’s Valefor, a roguelite auto-battler that’s perfect for quick gaming sessions, like lunch breaks or that half-hour before bed. Its focus on inventory management and automatic combat has you optimizing your party and building the right synergies. It drops on November 8th for PC and Mobile. You can check out my first look for a deeper dive into what it’s all about.
ZEPHON – PC
We’re closing out the week with the PC release of ZEPHON, a strategy game from Proxy Studios, the developers behind Warhammer Gladius. Set in a post-apocalyptic world crawling with eldritch creatures, aliens, mutant wildlife, and warring factions, it delivers a high-level 4X Strategy experience. The game’s concept is absolutely top-notch, so keep an eye on it!
