Warhammer 40k: Mechanicus II

Are You Ready to be a Tech-Priest again?

The Warhammer Skulls festival is returning for its ninth year, and Mechanicus II is set to be one of the main highlights. The new installment will be unveiled during the showcase on May 22nd at 5 pm BST / 9 am PST, hosted by Rahul Kohli. The event will be streamed live on Twitch.

Mechanicus II

The original game, Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus, was developed and released in 2018 by Bulwark Studios, and became a favorite among turn-based strategy gamesr. Set in the grimdark future of the 41st millennium, the game put players in control of the Adeptus Mechanicus, a technologically advanced faction dedicated to the worship of the Machine God. Tasked with exploring ancient Necron tomb worlds, players had to make strategic decisions both on and off the battlefield, balancing the pursuit of technology with the threat of awakening deadly enemies.

Mechanicus stood out for its customization options and immersive soundtrack by Guillaume David. The game’s story, penned by Black Library author Ben Counter, combined tactical combat with a narrative-driven campaign, making it a unique entry in the Warhammer game lineup.

While official details on Mechanicus II are still limited, we expect the sequel to expand on the tactical combat and the strategy layer. There’s speculation about new units, expanded customization, and a continuation of the storyline involving the Adeptus Mechanicus and their quest for ancient technologies.

Mechanicus II New Details Soon

Besides Mechanicus II, the Warhammer Skulls event will also feature major updates and announcements for other titles, including Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader—the CRPG from Owlcat Games that lets players explore the galaxy as a daring Rogue Trader. Additionally, fans of grand strategy can look forward to news about Total War: Warhammer III, with new content and updates expected.

Additionally, the festival will offer discounts of up to 90% on Warhammer games, DLCs, and new content across platforms like Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, and Epic Games Store.
