  • BUCK, an award-winning animation house, has unveiled their first original game title, Let’s! Revolution!, during The MIX Direct online showcase. The game is a unique combination of deductive tile-flipping, similar to Minesweeper, and tactical turn-based strategy. Players will have the opportunity to play as one of six characters, each with their own twist on the basic game mechanics. Let’s! Revolution! is set to release on PC and Mac via Steam and Steam Deck in Summer 2023.
  • Worldless is a genre-bending turn-based action metroidvania game developed by Thunderful, Coatsink, and Noname Studios. The Game is set in a world where opposing realities coexist, resulting in a never-ending conflict that causes the traumatic Absorption process. In this world, players will have to explore intricate areas filled with secrets while engaging in fast-paced, turn-based combat. The latest trailer showcases the game’s atmospheric exploration and stunning combat. Wordless is set to be released on both PC and Xbox in 2023.
  • Death Roads: Tournament is set to hit Steam on March 28th, 2023 in early access on PC. This unique game combines deadly racing, deckbuilding, and roguelite-style gameplay to create a thrilling and dynamic experience. The game’s turn-based gameplay allows players to use cards not just for shooting other cars, but also to move around the board and take a better position. The higher the gear, the more powerful the cards become, but players must also learn to use skids to their advantage. Collecting car parts from enemies and installing them in your ride to get different cards adds an additional layer of strategy to the game.
  • Miasma Chronicles is set to launch digitally on May 23rd, 2023 for Windows PC (Steam and EPIC), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Developed by The Bearded Ladies and published by 505 Games, this tactical adventure follows the story of Elvis, a young man who must navigate a post-apocalyptic America with only his robot ‘brother’ Diggs for company. Together, they must unravel the mystery of the Miasma, a dangerous force threatening humanity and turning people into savage creatures.
  • After WrestleQuest, another contender on the scene of Wrestling games features a turn-based combat system. Wrestle Story is its name and is developed and published by indiedev Tic Toc Games. Get ready to live your pro wrestling story in a brand new way with Wrestle Story. In this hard-hitting, smack talkin’, RPG adventure, you’ll create your own wrestler and build your tag-team from scratch. Customize your characters’ looks, backstory, and even ring entrance music as you explore the vibrant and unexpected world of the Five Territories. With dozens of enemies to defeat, you’ll need to master timing and use action-based attacks to boost damage and find your flow in the ring. Level up, equip stat-boosting ring gear, and unlock dozens of powerful new ring skills to help you along the way.
  • The wait is over for fans of Wartales as Shiro Games, the developer behind the tactical RPG, has announced the game’s official release date. Wartales will be released on April 12th, 2023 on PC via Steam, marking the end of the Early Access period. Shiro Games has released a new trailer to celebrate this announcement, showcasing the game’s exciting features and immersive gameplay. Complete contracts, collect bounties to earn money and recognition and use tactical turn-based combat to overcome your foes. You can even team up with up to three other players to take on the world’s challenges together.
  • One Up Plus, the indie dev behind DungeonTop and Defend the Rook has announced their new title called Deliverance & Reign. A new game that combines the elements of gothic battle and roguelike deckbuilding mechanics. In this game, players can choose to play as either Good or Evil, invading Alaric’s Castle or defending it as Alaric himself. Deliverance & Reign, as the name suggests, offers two different game modes: Deliverance and Reign. Each mode has its unique features and feels like a separate game, with separate saves, progression, and achievements. Players can switch freely between modes at any point in the game. There is no release date yet.
  • Get ready to face the ultimate challenge of survival in the gritty and dark world of Shardpunk: Verminfall, a turn-based tactical RPG set in a steampunk universe. Developed by Clockwork Pile, a passionate solo developer, Shardpunk: Verminfall will be available on Steam and GOG.com from April 13, 2023. This game blends turn-based tactical strategy with RPG, survival, and resource management, making each decision impactful and the consequences unavoidable. From combat tactics to choosing who should receive the last medpack or rations, players must take charge and face the consequences of their actions.
