The wait is finally over for RPG enthusiasts worldwide. Today, the highly anticipated Baldur’s Gate 3 launches on PC. This release marks the culmination of a six-year-long development process and more than two decades of anticipation since the previous game. Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available via Steam, GOG, and NVIDIA GeForce Now starting at 8 am PDT. An attached map is provided to help players determine the release time in their region.
Brought to life by the creators of Divinity: Original Sin 2, Baldur’s Gate 3 is a next-generation RPG set in the immersive world of Dungeons & Dragons. This game offers unprecedented depth and breadth, propelling the modern RPG genre to new heights.
More than twenty years after the last game, players are invited to return to the Forgotten Realms. Their choices will shape their journey in a tale woven with themes of fellowship and betrayal, sacrifice and survival, and the enticing pursuit of absolute power.
Gamers are free to shape their identity by choosing from 12 classes and 11 races from the D&D Player’s Handbook. Alternatively, they can play as an Origin hero with a meticulously crafted backstory or opt for the Dark Urge, a fully customizable Origin hero with its unique mechanics and story. Whichever path they choose, they are promised a thrilling journey filled with adventure, battles, romance, and loot in the Forgotten Realms and beyond.
Baldur’s Gate 3 also enables players to form a party of up to four and experience the adventure online. As a group, they will be plunged into a conflict among devils, deities, and sinister otherworldly forces, with the fate of the Forgotten Realms hinging on their collective actions.

For PlayStation 5 users, Baldur’s Gate 3 is scheduled for release on September 6, with early access for PS5 Digital Deluxe Edition owners starting on September 3. The Mac release is also targeted for early September. Announcements regarding support for additional platforms will be provided in due course.
