Master the Streets of Technograd
Neural Dominion, the game I’m introducing to you today, is not a successor to Chaos Overlords, and I’m not sure if the developers at GamesBond Studios are even familiar with or took inspiration from the legendary 1996 strategy title. Regardless, their creation looks truly intriguing. It blends a strategic layer where players build and capture points of interest within a city set in a cyberpunk environment with another layer where they can recruit units, fully arm them, and send them into battles reminiscent of a JRPG.
Neural Dominion is an intense, cyberpunk-themed 4X turn-based strategy game set in the sprawling, dystopian city of Technograd. In a world where crime rules and power are everything, players must lead one of five distinct gangs, each with unique abilities and strengths, in a cutthroat battle for control.
The game challenges players to engage in everything from strategic extortion and covert hacking to direct combat with rival gangs. The turn-based combat is inspired by JRPG mechanics, offering a mix of tactical depth and brutal street-level engagements. With a rich tech tree and deep customization options for gang leaders, players can tailor their approach to dominate the city’s dark underworld.
The game further distinguishes itself by allowing players to exert influence over Technograd’s various districts. Whether through strategic building placements, complex political maneuvering, or bending the city’s law enforcement to their will, players have multiple paths to power. The blend of grand strategy, gang warfare, and cyberpunk aesthetics creates a distinct atmosphere where every decision counts.
As players climb the criminal ladder, they will need to outthink and outmaneuver their opponents, leveraging both brute force and cunning strategy to seize control of Technograd and establish their gang’s dominance in this unforgiving urban jungle. Neural Dominion is expected by the end of the year or early 2025 on PC via Steam and GOG, but we can soon put our hands on a demo in October during Steam Next Fest, below the Gameplay Trailer.
