Today, I’m excited to introduce Mecha Simultactics, an anime-inspired turn-based tactical game that puts a strong emphasis on PvP combat. In this game, you’ll take command of a highly customizable mech, select its actions for the turn, and then watch as the results play out. The outcome of each battle will carry over into the next turn, influencing your strategic choices as the match progresses.
Developed by the indie studio RJ Arcade, Mecha Simultactics is set to launch its Alpha version—a free demo—on September 5th. This early release will allow the developer to start gathering valuable player feedback.
I’m particularly impressed with the game’s art style and the simultaneous turn-based combat system, which adds an extra layer of depth and unpredictability. The idea of competing or teaming up with up to eight other players in a single session—whether in squad-based battles or chaotic free-for-alls—promises some truly exciting gameplay moments. Check out the overview, screenshots, and trailer below to get a better look at what’s in store!
