Mystal Haven Monster Taming

Fans of creature-collecting adventures have something exciting to look forward to—Mystal Haven, an open-world, laid-back take on the genre, is set to launch in Early Access in March 2025. Developed and published by Todd Lucas, this indie title offers a unique mix of turn-based and real-time battles, exploration, and multiplayer features.

Mystal Haven

A Relaxing Yet Strategic Experience

Unlike more intense monster-battling games, Mystal Haven encourages players to take things at their own pace. You’ll roam through diverse biomes, collecting lots of unique creatures, each with elemental variants—leading to staggering possible combinations. The game allows you to ride, feed, and even breed your creatures, creating powerful hybrids to aid you in battle.

Players can choose between traditional turn-based battles or real-time overworld skirmishes, letting you engage in combat however you prefer.

Multiplayer Magic

One of the biggest draws of Mystal Haven is its multiplayer focus. Whether playing solo, online, or in local split-screen with up to four players, you can team up to explore the world together. The game also features PvP options, meaning you can test your creatures against friends or strangers in competitive battles.

Launching in Early Access on PC via Steam this March (no set release date yet), Todd Lucas plans to fine-tune gameplay and add new content based on player feedback. The full release is expected to bring more creature interactions, refined battle mechanics, and overall polish.
