Once upon a Dungeon - Infinity

I’m not sure if this brand-new chapter of Once Upon a Dungeon is connected to the previous entries, but either way, it looks very promising and is just around the corner with the release of its Early Access version. It seems to build on the foundations of earlier installments, but let’s dive into some details:

Once upon a Dungeon - Infinity

Introduction

Once Upon a Dungeon – Infinity, developed by Tomasz Kot under the indie studio Koto Games, brings you a gritty, traditional roguelike experience set in a dark, Slavic-inspired medieval world. In this traditional roguelike dungeon crawler, you’ll take on the role of a lone adventurer tasked with reclaiming the statues of Slavic gods from the clutches of evil forces.

Whether you wield melee weapons, projectiles, or devastating spells, your strategic prowess will determine your fate against the malevolent Fallen One.

Immersive Dungeon Crawling with Slavic Mythology

Set in a Slavic land where gods hold great power, Once Upon a Dungeon – Infinity weaves its lore into gameplay seamlessly. Worshiped deities can be unleashed as powerful abilities to turn the tide in your favor. Explore procedurally generated dungeons brimming with deadly monsters, environmental hazards, and precious loot. The stakes grow higher with each descent, offering progressively tougher enemies and richer rewards.

Equipping Allies And Evolving Spells

With its robust feature set, this traditional roguelike promises depth and replayability. The flexible combat system allows you to experiment with bleeding, freezing, or stunning effects while mastering recovery tactics. Equip allies like skeletons and hounds who level up and wield gear just like your main hero.

Crafting takes center stage, enabling you to merge and enhance items, brew potions, and tailor your build to suit melee or magical combat. The magic system offers a unique twist: spells tied to books evolve as you grow stronger, and magic weapons operate independently of mana. Each completed run unlocks more challenging dungeon levels, ensuring you’ll always have a reason to dive back in.

Once Upon a Dungeon – Infinity is set to be released in Early Access on the 10th of January 2025 on PC via Steam. Below is an overview, screens and gallery.
