The first chapter of Rise Eterna debuted in 2021 but wasn’t met with entirely positive reception, perhaps due to an excess of linearity. Still, it was a Fire Emblem-style RPG with impressive pixel art. Today, through the Steam Next Fest page, the developers Forever Entertainment, Makee Games and Ricci Cedric Design have launched the series’ second chapter along with a demo.
Serving as a sequel to the original Rise Eterna, this installment immerses players in a conflict between two families vying for control of a kingdom’s throne, with an additional faction seeking revenge. Players assume the role of Jacht, a dedicated Athracian soldier on a mission to restore the Empire’s former glory and eliminate Lua’s Heroes Army.
Key features of Rise Eterna 2 include:
- Missions: The game offers 28 missions set across diverse locations and biomes, combining strategic and tactical combat that challenges players’ decision-making abilities.
- Terrain Mechanics: Various terrain types influence unit attacks and movement, allowing players to leverage environmental advantages during battles.
