Seeker Tactics

Finding a powerful artifact is only half the job in Seeker Tactics. Getting your squad home with it is the other half. Developed and published by DA2 Creative Inc., this upcoming PC strategy RPG puts dungeon expeditions, summonable monsters, and the risk of losing your loot at the center of its adventure.

Seeker Tactics

The story follows the Seeker organization as it investigates a monster attack that left a sacred retreat without survivors.

Local officials want answers before the situation gets worse. Alongside that investigation, you oversee a Seeker base, prepare your adventurers with abilities and monster allies, and take on requests from residents to learn more about the world. That gives the expeditions a purpose beyond simply hunting for better equipment: the organization also has a mystery to solve and people asking for help.

The combat detail that catches my attention is the shared action-point pool. Movement, attacks, and abilities draw from the same squad-wide budget, and characters can act repeatedly. In practice, spending more points on one unit means leaving fewer for everyone else, a trade-off worth considering when building your team.

Exploration takes place on tile-based maps, with danger increasing each turn. You decide when to extract, keeping recovered loot and surviving companions for future missions. Defeat leaves your haul behind, but grants one recovery attempt. Fail again, and those losses become permanent.

Captured monsters and recovered artifacts strengthen the squad, so a useful discovery can change what you bring on the next outing. The developer describes a hand-painted, anime-inspired presentation for this cycle of exploration, collection, and survival.

Wild companions can be trained back home. The medieval East Asian-inspired setting spans forests, frozen tundra, and Imperial Tombs, with three factions competing for territory and each region’s legendary boss. Rival factions can reach those bosses first.

Seeker Tactics is planned for Windows PC through Steam, with DA2 Creative handling both development and publishing. A release date has not yet been announced.
