Brigandine: Abyss Demo Now Available On Steam Ahead Of August Release
Happinet has released a PC demo for Brigandine: Abyss, giving players an early look at the next entry in the long-running fantasy war series.

The demo is available now on Steam and includes the first two chapters from both the Gran Dragnica and Scarlet Will story modes. PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 demo versions are planned for a later date. Save data from the Steam demo will not carry over to the full game.
The demo focuses on the game’s early structure, so players can test the opening story beats, build parties, and get a feel for the combat flow before launch.
Brigandine has always sat somewhere between grand strategy and hex-based tactical warfare. The player is not only moving units in battle, but also managing a nation, preparing armies during organization phases, and deciding when to invade nearby territories.

Brigandine: Abyss takes place on the continent of Meltitea, where six factions face the return of the Abyssloa Empire.
Players choose one of six nations in Story Mode, while Mission Mode expands the structure with 24 playable nations, each with its own win condition. Battles unfold on hexagonal maps, with armies made up of leaders and monster units.
The tactical layer leans on unit traits, elements, and leader pressure, since forcing enemy commanders to retreat can change the result of a fight without clearing every unit on the field.

The series last returned with Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia, and Abyss keeps the same broad identity of territorial conquest, fantasy factions, and army composition, while moving to a new setting and a new conflict.
Happinet has also outlined a larger structure for the full release, including six main stories, side content tied to the continent’s 24 factions, and a campaign built around developing bases, strengthening troops, and pushing for control of Meltitea.
Brigandine: Abyss is scheduled to launch for PC via Steam on August 26, 2026, with PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2 versions following on August 27, 2026.
