Deified Tactical Roguelite

Unexpected’s tactical roguelite is built around relic synergies, slot management, and battles without mana or action points.

Deified is getting ready for its full release. French studio Unexpected and publisher Goblinz Publishing have confirmed that the tactical roguelite will leave Early Access on September 21, 2026, on PC via Steam.

The game has been available in Early Access since April, but the upcoming 1.0 release marks the completion of its development phase.

At the heart of Deified is a turn-based combat system built almost entirely around relics. There is no mana, no action point system, and no traditional cooldown management. Instead, the challenge comes from deciding which relics to use and, more importantly, how to combine them.

Relics of the same type can create additional synergies, while finding several copies of the same fragment allows you to restore and improve an artifact. This makes building your setup one of the most important parts of each run.

There is another element that makes the system a little more interesting: relics must be placed into specific slots. Each slot provides a bonus but also comes with a drawback, so simply equipping your strongest artifacts is not always the best solution. You have to think about where they go and how the different effects work together.

As runs progress, players can also unlock new skills and additional rooms, giving them more options for future attempts.

The final goal is to defeat seven bosses, each with its own curse capable of interfering with your strategy. Ideally, this should prevent a strong build from solving every encounter in exactly the same way.

The story follows Sator, who is trying to recover the Gold of the Rhine after it was corrupted by powerful Lords and turned into cursed relics. His journey eventually brings him face-to-face with the seven figures responsible for what happened.

Unexpected, the French indie studio behind As Far As The Eye and looK INside, developed Deified. Goblinz Publishing is handling publishing duties, adding the game to a catalog that already includes strategy titles such as Legend of Keepers, Hero’s Hour, and Shogun Showdown.

Deified launches in version 1.0 on PC via Steam on September 21, 2026, priced at $14.99 / €14.99. A 20% launch discount will be available during the first two weeks.
