Summoners Fate launched in Steam Early Access three weeks ago. Since its launch over 6,000 players have entered the multiverse, hurling over 1 million squirrels between them! To celebrate the launch independent developer, D20Studios has shared their future plans for the game, which will see new Summoners to play, more diverse biomes to explore, and multiple PvP multiplayer modes, including a ranked system.
The roadmap also highlights a variety of other key updates, including PvE leaderboards and a complete overhaul to the game’s AI. Both of these are in direct response to the community feedback, which has been very positive with Summoners currently boasting 86% positive reviews on Steam.
As to be expected during its Early Access period, Summoners Fate will be adding new Summoners to build around and biomes to explore. It will also be adding several PvP modes, including 1v1 and 2v2 battles. All modes will offer a casual and competitive option. Players can open up their multiplayer deckbuilding pool now by exploring the Multiverse. Every card that is found while on an adventure will be permanently added to the player’s multiplayer deckbuilding pool, including all Summoners they unlock. The multiplayer update is expected around Q2 2023.
The PvE leaderboards will allow players to compete in high-score style runs. The AI Engine overhaul is an update that will mainly focus on the AI’s decision-making in combat.
Summoners Fate is a roguelike adventure game that fuses traditional turn-based combat with card-slinging spell combat. After choosing one of the eight summoners, you embark on a perilous quest through the multiverse in search of hidden secrets, powerful cards, and battle-changing team members…oh, and you may find a mutated rabbit along the way.
