As part of the Nintendo Direct announcement, a new release date for Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp was revealed. This is a remake of the classic strategy game from the Game Boy Advance. The game tasks players with destroying enemy military formations, capturing bases, and working towards restoring peace.

The game has been completely rebuilt from the ground up, but retains the spirit of the original while incorporating new features, such as an online mode. The remake stays true to its roots, making it more complex and challenging for fans. The strategy aspect of the game is fully playable, allowing players to create their own unique challenges.

Players can choose from a variety of commanders, each of whom have different impacts on allies and unique abilities that can shape the outcome of battles. To purchase powerful units, players must gather resources and capture enemy territories. To reach the main headquarters, they must navigate through the most productive areas.

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp will be available on the Nintendo Switch starting on April 21, 2023.
