A few hours ago, Jeff Vogel, the creator behind iconic RPG classics like Geneforge, Queen’s Wish, and the Avernum series, launched a Kickstarter campaign for a remastered version of Avernum 4, now titled Greed and Glory.
Originally released in 2005, Avernum 4 kicks off the Great Trials Trilogy and centers on the kingdom’s battle against mysterious, ghostly enemies called the Black Shades, who are wreaking havoc across its cities. Players command a team of adventurers as they delve into the origins of these spectral foes, all while exploring massive dungeons, completing side quests, and making decisions that shape the world.
The remaster promises modern enhancements, including expanded storylines, revamped dialogue, and refined gameplay mechanics. Players will navigate a vast, treasure-laden underworld, confronting monstrous threats and navigating political intrigue.
