Choose one fallen hero to rescue in a dungeon crawler where breaking your equipment can turn a battle in your favor.
Death Kumiai and publisher Flashlight Games have announced that Annihilated will launch for PC via Steam on November 10, 2026. The roguelite deckbuilding RPG sends you into a cursed dungeon after a missing party of legendary heroes, with a difficult condition attached to the rescue: only one of them can leave with you.

You are the sole survivor of the expedition sent to find them, and you have no fighting power of your own.
Staying alive means relying on the strength the fallen heroes still possess. Choosing a companion opens one of four story routes, revealing what happened to that character and how the party met its fate. The developer describes a script of more than 200,000 words, with decisions affecting the story and its ending, while the cartoon artwork accompanies themes of death and psychological horror.

Turn-based battles use cards tied to the items you carry, each with a limited number of uses. Enemies reveal their next actions, giving you information to plan your response. Combat supports both timing-based and probability-based styles, and either can be used to finish the game, so timed inputs are optional.
Weapon durability creates another decision to weigh during a fight. Equipment can be deliberately destroyed for temporary combat bonuses, while a weapon’s final use can trigger a Fatal Strike against a staggered enemy, killing it instantly and stealing its gear. That creates an incentive to spend your equipment at the right moment, even when supplies are running low.

Exploration brings random events and potentially fatal traps, but broken equipment also produces Curses that can overturn a bad roll. If you die, you retry from the floor where you fell. Stored Curses can be turned into needed items, with the remainder converted into experience, giving failed attempts a role in progression.
The announced price is $16.99 / €17.25, with a 10% launch discount during the first two weeks. Annihilated will support English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese. You can find it on Steam and watch the release trailer below.
