Red Hook Studios announces that Darkest Dungeon II, their turn-based RPG, will release in its final version on May 8th on the Epic Games Store and Steam. A free demo is available during Steam Next Fest 2023 on both platforms, allowing players to explore one region with the four starting heroes. The demo will not save progression between expeditions. The full game features a dozen heroes, five regions, five end bosses, and a metagame hub with persistent upgrades.
Darkest Dungeon II was released in Early Access on the Epic Games Store in October 2021 and has received regular content updates since. The sequel to the critically acclaimed Darkest Dungeon features 3D visuals and a new run-based structure while retaining its complex systems. Red Hook Studios has more updates planned before the 1.0 release, with one coming soon. Stay tuned!
