BAFTA award-winning studio ustwo games has announced that Desta: The Memories Between, a character-driven tactics game, will launch on PC via Steam and Nintendo Switch in the form of a Dream Team Edition on April 26, 2023. The game will allow players to explore a beautiful dream world through a tactical ball game, led by ustwo’s first non-binary protagonist, Desta.
The Dream Team Edition will include the base game, all major updates, a 52-page digital art book, and a complete soundtrack. It will also offer three game modes: Shortcuts for story-focused players, Challenge Mode for players seeking to take their tactics to the next level, and Nightmare Mode, an ultra-hardcore experience for those seeking immersion.
‘We’re excited to bring Desta to new platforms with the Dream Team Edition, packed with new abilities, characters, game modes and more,’ said Lead Designer Joel Beardshaw. ‘We believe it has something for every type of player, whether experienced or new to tactics games.’
ustwo games will host a community beta in the coming weeks and has partnered with UK Youth, a national charity, on a year-long initiative to support young people and youth centers in fighting the cost of living. The studio will donate up to £81,000 in grants to local youth organizations and £27,000 to support activities at UK Youth.
