Rake in Grass has confirmed the release date for its old-school party-based dungeon crawler, with a Nintendo Switch version following in early 2027.
After several months of testing and development updates, Underkeep finally has a release date. Developer Rake in Grass has confirmed that the first-person, party-based dungeon crawler will launch on November 5, 2026, for PC.

The announcement came alongside a new release-date teaser and follows an extended testing period during which the studio evaluated whether the game would be ready to ship before the end of the year. According to the developers, the current build has reached a level of polish that allows them to move forward with the November launch.
Underkeep takes direct inspiration from classic grid-based dungeon crawlers, putting players in control of a customizable party while exploring interconnected environments from a first-person perspective.

Movement follows a traditional tile-based structure, while encounters use turn-based combat built around party composition, character classes, equipment, abilities, and resource management.
At launch, the game will support English, Czech, German, Spanish, Russian, and French, alongside full controller support. Rake in Grass has also confirmed that a Nintendo Switch version is planned for Q1 2027, with further details expected closer to release.

The announcement is accompanied by another substantial update to the game’s playable demo. According to the studio, the current version now contains most of the core systems planned for the complete release, giving players a more representative look at Underkeep’s exploration, combat, character progression, and dungeon mechanics.
With the release date now locked in, the remaining development period will primarily be dedicated to final testing, localization, and polish.
Underkeep launches November 5, 2026, on PC via Steam and GOG. The updated demo is currently available on Steam, while the Nintendo Switch version is scheduled to follow during the first quarter of 2027.
