It’s been nearly two years since Konami announced Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars, a collection that brings the first two installments of the Suikoden JRPG series back to life with enhanced visuals and improvements for modern platforms. Initially, the Japanese company aimed for a 2023 release, but the launch was delayed to 2024, and now it has been definitively set for March 6, 2025.
During the Nintendo Direct on August 27, Konami unveiled a new trailer for the collection, revealing the official release date for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC.
This bundle will include remastered versions of the classic fantasy JRPGs Suikoden I (1995) and Suikoden II (1998), featuring upgraded graphics, completely overhauled background images, enhanced pixel art animations, new ambient sound effects, new special battle effects, an auto-save function, fast-forward in battles, a conversation log, and more. Fans who pre-order the game will receive special in-game bonuses.
