Indie Legends Bundle With 4 Great Turn-Based RPGs

Get These Indie Gems for Just 2 Dollars Each

I’m getting used to what Fanatical has to offer, especially when it comes to bundles. Last week, we talked about the RPG Bundle (still available) where you can find some of the best Role-Playing Games around, like For The King, King’s Bounty 2, Untamed Tactics, and many others, all for about a dollar each—a crazy deal.

Today, I want to tell you about a bundle called Indie Legends Summer 2024, and as the name suggests, it includes some of the best recent indie games. There’s also something in it that’s absolutely worth our attention. Fanatical bundles work in such a way that the more games you pick, the lower the price per game. In this case, you can start with as few as two titles and go up to a maximum of 18 (the entire bundle) that let you access the price of 2 dollars each. Let’s take a look at what you can get.

Low Magic Age

The first one is a game that has been in early access since 2017, but you won’t believe the massive number of updates it still receives. In Low Magic Age, players are thrust into a richly detailed medieval fantasy world where every decision can shape their adventure. The game seamlessly blends a strategic turn-based combat system with the freedom of an open-world sandbox, allowing players to explore villages, cities, and treacherous dungeons at their own pace.

Low Magic Age

Character creation is central to the experience, offering a deep and complex system that lets players build unique heroes with a variety of abilities and specializations. As players venture through the game, they’ll encounter numerous quests, trade opportunities, and random dungeons teeming with monsters and treasures, ensuring that no two journeys are ever the same.

The game’s combat system is inspired by classic tabletop RPGs, offering tactical depth with features like fog of war, flanking, and specialized attacks. The fast-paced Arena mode distills this experience into intense battles, perfect for those seeking quick, adrenaline-pumping skirmishes. With over a hundred fantasy monsters to battle and a wide array of magical items to discover, Low Magic Age offers endless possibilities for adventure and character development. Whether you’re delving into dangerous ruins or trading goods across the land, the game provides a captivating blend of strategy, exploration, and role-playing that keeps players coming back for more.

Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga

Another gem inside the Indie Bundle is also one of the best Indie Strategy RPGs of recent times is Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga. The game invites players into the war-torn land of Tahnra, where a rogue general’s rebellion shatters the delicate peace of the Empire of Veridia. As a newly minted graduate from the Imperial War Academy, players are thrust into the role of a commander leading a grand army to restore order. However, what begins as a simple mission quickly spirals into a deeper conspiracy that threatens the very foundations of the world. The game is rich with narrative depth, presenting a story filled with betrayal, alliances, and the struggles of a world on the brink of chaos.

Symphony of War

The combat system revolves around a squad-based, 2D turn-based strategy system, offering a vast array of tactical possibilities. Players can assemble squads from over 50 unique character classes, including archers, battle mages, dragons, and more. Battles unfold on diverse terrains where players must use tactics, terrain, and weather conditions to their advantage.

Beyond combat, the game emphasizes strategic management—maintaining morale, capturing resources, and forging relationships among your troops, which can unlock powerful synergies and story events. With its intricate mechanics and story-driven campaign, Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga delivers a deeply immersive strategy RPG experience that promises both strategic depth and emotional storytelling.

Coromon

I’m playing it almost every evening with my daughter and found it incredible. Coromon is a vibrant reimagining of the beloved monster-taming genre set in the expansive and diverse world of Velua. As a newly appointed Battle Researcher for Lux Solis, players embark on an adventure that quickly escalates from a routine first day on the job to a desperate struggle against a mysterious, world-threatening force. With over 100 unique Coromon to discover, capture, and train, players will need to master a strategic, stamina-based combat system that adds a fresh layer of depth to every battle. Whether facing off against wild Coromon, rival trainers, or formidable bosses, every encounter in this richly detailed world is an opportunity to grow and refine the squad.

Coromon

The game blends classic JRPG elements with modern mechanics, offering a customizable experience that caters to all types of players. Explore six distinct regions, each filled with secrets, quests, and challenges that will test your skills and strategic thinking. The narrative unfolds through plot twists and revelations that keep the story engaging from start to finish.

With various difficulty settings, including fan-favorite modes like Randomizer and Nuzlocke, Coromon allows players to tailor their journey to their preferred playstyle. This dedication to both honoring the classics and innovating on the formula makes Coromon a must-play for fans of the genre, combining nostalgic charm with contemporary gameplay innovations.

The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos

The last one inside the Indie Legends Bundle is a great tactical RPG called The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet of Chaos. In it, a ragtag group of misfit heroes bumbles their way through a treacherous dungeon. Originally created as a parody of classic RPGs by French author John Lang, this tactical RPG brings the beloved audio series to life, now fully accessible to an international audience.

Players will guide a diverse party, including the clumsy Ranger, the snarky Elf, the grumpy Dwarf, and more, each with their own unique skills and personalities. As you delve deeper into the dungeon, the team must navigate absurd situations, solve tricky puzzles, and engage in strategic turn-based battles, all while enduring each other’s quirks and egos.

The game’s charm lies not just in its humor but also in its deep and challenging gameplay. With an adaptive difficulty system, players can choose from a more story-focused experience to a brutally difficult mode where every tactical decision matters. Battles are enhanced by creative support mechanics and environmental hazards, offering a fresh twist on traditional turn-based combat. The expansive bestiary and epic boss fights require careful planning and smart use of each character’s abilities.

Those were the titles closely tied to turn-based mechanics, but the bundle also includes many other must-play action RPGs. Here’s the complete list:
