Ciao a tutti. We are approaching the end of 2021, and it’s time to sum up the results and do the math. This was a difficult year for many of us, with Covid-19 changing many of our habits at home and at work. The world of video games has also suffered greatly, as a result, especially some triple-A companies.
The indie developers, however, showed a much greater resilience. Their projects were many, with a multitude of great and unique works, especially in the turn-based style. We here have tried our best to give these some well-deserved visibility and recognition.
Today, however, I wanted to give some credit to the amazing community behind TBL. It was a difficult year for us as well. Yet, it was also a year of growth and consolidation, with many new writers, editors, and content creators for our YouTube channel and website, joining our ranks.
I am sincerely grateful to all of you, including those who were already part of the team and continued to work with great passion and commitment. Thank you! TBL would certainly be much less fun without your amazing contributions.
I’d like to also thank our incredible audience. The real turn-based lovers, who visit our site and read our articles. Your continuous support is that fuel, that makes our engine run, and drives us to always do our best! Not to forget our YouTube subscribers! There were so many in the last three months, that it seems like the 10k goal is just around the corner. Thank you, so much!
Last, but not least, I want to thank our fantastic Twitter community and our awesome industry partners. Throughout this year, you continued to help us, both with valuable advice and increased visibility. We are extremely grateful to have your irreplaceable support. We’d like to mention, among others:
- Danceman Facebook Group dedicated to tactics games
- Turn-Based Tactics on Steam
- Bob Ert group Videogame & RPG Deals & News on facebook
I thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for all the good that has happened to TBL over the years and that which awaits us in 2022. I started this project for fun in 2018. Back then, I couldn’t even imagine that it would become such an important part of my life, to which I devote every free hour I have.
There are many ideas and plans for the future. Above all, to continuously increase the quality of our content, as well as making it more varied, by adding some new, interesting columns.
Thank you, once again! My family and I wish all of you that 2022 will be exactly the way you want it to. And full of great turn-based games, of course!
