Oh man, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 looks absolutely incredible! I just finished watching the brand-new trailer, and it’s packed with fresh gameplay sequences that really showcase how the combat is going to work. Timing and counterattacks are clearly going to play a massive role, and the exploration looks both varied and deep. And on top of that, we got a glimpse of the stellar voice cast they’ve brought on board.
Maybe it’s because I’ve been on a total JRPG high lately, thanks to Metaphor ReFantazio, but every time I see more of Clair Obscur, it just keeps winning me over even more. Anyway, going back to the cast, the roster includes Lord of the Rings star Andy Serkis as Renoir, a man trying to save his family, alongside Daredevil’s Charlie Cox, Final Fantasy XVI’s Ben Starr, and Baldur’s Gate III’s Jennifer English. The full cast is as follows:
- Andy Serkis as Renoir, a desperate man trying to protect his family
- Charlie Cox as Gustave, the lead engineer
- Ben Starr as Verso, a mysterious and dangerous stranger
- Jennifer English as Maelle, a shy loner
- Kirsty Rider as Lune, the head researcher
- Shala Nyx as Sciel, a cheerful warrior
