Nihon Falcom has set a release window for Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, the remake of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC. In its latest financial report, the company lists the launch for the fourth quarter of its current fiscal year, which runs from July 1 to September 30, 2026. Platforms were not named in the filing.

The timing follows the worldwide launch of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter on September 19, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
That remake also included a post-credits teaser pointing to a second chapter remake, which surfaced ahead of release and effectively confirmed the project months before today’s window.
As a story, 2nd Chapter picks up directly after the ending of 1st Chapter, continuing Estelle and Joshua’s journey across Liberl while raising the stakes that underpin the Trails series’ long-form narrative. The original SC debuted in Japan in 2006 and reached English players in 2015; it also expanded the battle toolkit of the first game with mechanics such as chain crafts.
Falcom hasn’t detailed systems for the remake of the 2nd Chapter yet. For context, the 2025 1st Chapter remake shipped worldwide simultaneously and, on PC, included English and Japanese voice options, while console versions listed Japanese audio with multilingual text.
Expect Falcom to confirm the exact platform lineup, language support, and combat specifics for 2nd Chapter closer to launch.
Falcom has not detailed features or changes for the 2nd Chapter yet. The publisher’s report only narrows the schedule, with further information—such as platforms and a specific date—still to come.
