As I always say, better late than never. With so much going on, I still hadn’t taken a look at the games included in the August 2026 Humble Choice. Big mistake, because this month Humble’s subscription service is offering one of the best JRPGs ever made, and a very recent one at that.
As usual, here’s a quick introduction for anyone who may not be familiar with Humble. It is essentially a subscription service that offers several high-quality, modern games for $14.99 USD per month. Once redeemed, they remain in your library forever.
I’ve personally been a subscriber for many years now, and besides supporting charity, since the platform is first and foremost committed to helping nonprofit organizations around the world, I have a huge number of AAA games waiting to be redeemed. They usually just sit there, and I often don’t even get around to checking what each month has in store, but that’s another story.
In any case, this month’s lineup is a major one because, for those of us who love turn-based games, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth towers above the rest. It is the latest entry in the series to feature a turn-based combat system, along with one of the most distinctive and charismatic casts of allies and enemies in video game history.
Released in 2024, SEGA’s title still costs around $70 on Steam, which should give you a clear idea of the incredible value offered by Humble Choice.
And that’s not all. Alongside Infinite Wealth, we also get Decktamer, an RPG that combines monster-collecting mechanics with card-based gameplay. Released in late 2025, it is another very recent title and currently has a Very Positive review rating on Steam.
Sticking close to turn-based territory, there is also another very interesting title, although this one is an RTwP RPG: Dark Envoy. It is a party-based RPG that lets you slow down time to issue orders to your characters. The game was released in 2023.
In other words, these three titles alone more than justify the monthly cost of Humble Choice, but there is still more. The complete lineup includes:
