Just a few minutes ago, I posted a new video showcasing 15 of the most intriguing RPGs with tactical combat systems expected for 2024, including Demonschool. But only minutes after I published it, the news broke that its release had been pushed back to 2025.
The release of Demonschool, the school-life tactics RPG with influences from Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and Italian horror cinema, has been postponed to Q1 2025. Publisher Ysbryd Games and developer Necrosoft Games made the decision to allow for additional development time, aiming to enhance the game’s content and liveliness.
Originally set for a 13 September 2024 release, the team delayed to ensure the game met their full vision. To keep fans engaged, Necrosoft will release a series of written and video devlogs detailing the ongoing development process, starting with a focus on characters’ status effects.
When it does release, Demonschool will be available on multiple platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. The game blends tactical RPG where Players will navigate the life of Faye, a student at a mysterious university, as she and her friends combat demons while managing their school schedules and relationships.
