The second patch for Phoenix Point: Firebird is now available on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG, bringing a new round of quality-of-life features, balance adjustments, localization updates, and bug fixes.

One of the main additions in patch 1.30.2 is a more convenient loadout system for soldiers. Players can now save individual loadouts, quickly unequip gear, restore saved equipment setups, and automatically equip saved loadouts for soldiers assigned to a mission, provided the necessary items are available.

The update also adds Time of Arrival information for player aircraft, improves the Timers Panel, and updates the tactical interface to show possible area-of-effect deviation zones for grenades and other arced weapons.

Haven starvation rates have been reduced, while restrictions on Training Zones and Elite Training Zones in havens have been eased, allowing factions to build them more often.

Grenades have also been adjusted and are no longer perfectly accurate, now featuring slight trajectory variation. Other changes include a lower Willpower cost for Mutoid Sonic Blast, a reduced range and cone radius for Scylla Sonic Blast, and small adjustments to the New Jericho Railgun.

The patch also addresses a long list of issues across combat, UI, manufacturing, and mission behavior. Fixes include corrections to the Clarity Helmet Module’s Psychic Resistance, vehicle targeting in free aim, enemies attacking across extreme elevation differences, smoke visibility, manufacturing queue problems, stuck faction vehicles, and several mission-related bugs. The Behemoth mission deployment limit is now also correctly capped at eight soldiers.

Players using mods such as Terror From The Void or the Officer Class Mod should make sure they are running the latest versions. Steam users may need to restart the client if mods do not update automatically, while Epic Games Store users should download updated versions from the mods’ respective GitHub pages.
