Grimkeep was briefly put on the back burner by developer Resolution Games as the studio focused on finishing and launching the excellent Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked. Now, however, development appears to be picking up again on the promising dice-based RPG.

GrimKeep, in fact, got a new gameplay video that offers a closer look at how the upcoming roguelite turns dice rolls into tactical combat.
Set in a grimdark world shaped by corrupted fairy tales and Lovecraftian horror, the game challenges players to survive repeated runs by combining luck, careful planning, and increasingly powerful item synergies.
Battles begin with five dice that can be rolled and rerolled to assemble familiar combinations, including pairs, straights, and sets of matching values. Completed combinations contribute to an attack score, while collected items and multipliers can dramatically modify the final damage.

Committing every useful die to offense is not always the best approach, however: dice left unused during an attack can contribute to defense, while visible enemy intentions help players decide whether to strike aggressively or prepare for the incoming response.
Runs take place across a branching node map containing battles, random encounters, shops, and campfires.
Along the way, players can collect relics, experiment with special dice and status effects, and construct builds capable of pushing beyond the game’s normal power curve. Further attempts will also unlock additional characters, items, and encounters. GrimKeep is currently scheduled to launch in 2026 on Steam and PlayStation. Below the new gameplay video.
