INTI CREATES has launched a demo for its upcoming card-battling RPG, Card-en-Ciel full game, which will be available on Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch versions, arriving on October 24, 2024. The demo includes two full dungeons and nearly 100 cards, allowing players to experience deck-building, battles, and progression ahead of the game’s official release on October 24.
The game follows Neon, a detective navigating virtual dungeons, earning and upgrading cards to combat invading characters from various games. Alongside this, a new trailer for the in-universe game President Ex Machina, featuring a song by Karen Calanni, has also been released.
Card-en-Ciel is a mix of deck-building mechanics and traditional JRPG elements, featuring over 300 cards and 50 original vocal tracks. Players take on the role of Neon, a detective navigating through various digital worlds to solve a mystery involving characters from other game universes. These characters are collected as cards that players use in strategic battles.
The gameplay involves exploring more than ten dungeons, where players strengthen their deck by winning battles and acquiring new cards. Each card can be used in different ways—either for its special skills, movement, or battle effects—giving depth to the strategy. An exciting feature is the Muse Cards, which trigger powerful abilities through songs, adding an extra layer of complexity to the combat.
