Vagrus At The Heart of Ruin DLC

Lost Pilgrims has kicked off a new Weekly Expansion Devlog series for Vagrus – The Riven Realms, focusing on the upcoming At the Heart of Ruin expansion, the new DLC which will arrive before the end of 2025.

Vagrus The Riven Realms

Vagrus – The Riven Realms is a narrative-driven strategy RPG set in a dark, post-apocalyptic fantasy world. You lead a traveling company across the Riven Realms as a vagrus, trading, exploring, taking contracts, and choosing allegiances among powerful factions.

The game leans on branching, text-driven encounters and quests where choices affect companions and the world, wrapped around open-world travel and discovery.

Its systems center on planning and survival. You manage supplies, morale, and crew vigor; assign companions with distinct roles and personal questlines; and fight turn-based battles where positioning and leadership abilities matter.

The devlog Part 1 introduces a new mountaineering system that transforms the volcanic region’s high passes into foot-only, preparation-heavy routes, incorporating mountaineering gear and dedicated slots for DLC owners, while also emphasizing slower, riskier traversal.

The post also sets the scene around the Molten Kingdom and Dvendar Tharr, teasing Grey Dwarves active in the ruins, and briefly showcases cosmetic companion skins from the Ruinous Supporter Pack, which don’t affect gameplay. Read the devlog for more details.

The base game launched on PC in 2021, and it arrived on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch on March 31, 2025. Now, the developer is preparing for this new massive DLC.
