Politics, reputation, and squad-building meet tactical combat in a dark fantasy campaign.
Kalypso Media and Artefacts Studio have locked in a release date for Disciples: Domination. The dark fantasy strategy RPG is now set to launch on February 12, 2026, with versions planned for PC (Steam, and Epic Games Store), Xbox on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

The date comes alongside a release-date announcement trailer that frames the new campaign as a slide into “treason, corruption, and rivalries,” pushing Queen Avyanna into a war she can’t talk her way out of.
Disciples: Domination is positioned as a return to Nevendaar, 15 years after Avyanna freed it from the gods’ grip, only to find the realm cracking under the weight of rule. Avyanna’s seat of power is Yllian, and the pitch is less “hero on the rise” and more “leader trying not to break,” with allies drifting away and an outside force spreading unrest.
Mechanically, the game leans on two loops that feed each other: political control and tactical fighting. From the capital, Avyanna makes decisions with input from companions, and those calls tie into faction reputation, a clean way to make story choices matter without turning every scene into a binary morality meter.

The world layer then pushes you outward through real-time exploration across Nevendaar, where quests, characters, and threats are meant to keep pressure on the throne between battles.
Combat stays turn-based and grid-focused, but the release-date announcement specifically calls out a “refined” system built around faster, deadlier encounters, expanded unit abilities, and brutal faction synergies that can swing a fight quickly.

Also mentioned: dynamic events, faction abilities, and a strengths-and-weaknesses system, which suggests battles will reward counter-picking and roster planning as much as clean execution on the map.
Inthis new chapter, Avyanna can recruit and upgrade units from five distinct factions, then shape squads by mixing skills and training them for the campaign’s encounters. Companions aren’t just advisors either; they’re framed as a second layer of customization, bringing combat value and unique world skills during exploration.

After a limited-time demo wrapped up in October, the developers said they were already lining up changes such as performance and optimization work, Fog of War, balancing across combat and other systems, plus UI and presentation tweaks like results-screen improvements and added audio effects for some elite units.
That kind of post-demo checklist matters, since it usually signals where feedback was loudest: readability on the world layer, clarity during fights, and tuning around how hard (or swingy) encounters feel.
Disciples: Domination launches February 12, 2026, and it’s aiming for that mix of ruler-driven decisions, real-time travel, and sharper turn-based battles that can end quickly if your synergies click, or if you misread the matchup. Below is the release date trailer.
