ACE Strategy: Mecha Nova

Emina Studio’s roguelike strategy game mixes cards, pilots, drones, and 3×3 grid battles in a sci-fi campaign built around customizable mechs.

ACE Strategy: Mecha Nova (the first part of Emina Studio’s Mecha Nova series) will launch globally on April 24th, 2026. This marks about 2.5 years of development time for the studio.

Emina Studio will publish ACE Strategy: Mecha Nova on Steam in conjunction with CC Games. At its core, ACE Strategy: Mecha Nova combines elements of roguelite progression, deck building, and Turn-Based Tactics.

In terms of gameplay mechanics, players take on the role of an interstellar postman who pilots a personal Mech throughout a larger conspiracy. Each run consists of Recruiting Pilots, Deploying Drones, Collecting Chips & Items, and Refining a Combat Deck capable of Overpowering Enemy Formations while Gradually Increasing Player Options.

ACE Strategy: Mecha Nova battlefield allows for up to 9 combat units on a 3×3 Tactical Grid. Each Unit supports position-based interactions via “Circuit Abilities.”

Progression is built around permanent and run-based upgrades. Players may acquire chip cards to enhance mech capabilities over time, as well as item cards adaptable to specific battle conditions.

The official launch post also mentions Additional Hooks, such as Boss Recruitment, allowing defeated bosses to be recruitable subordinates, and a broader focus on experimentation with different mech builds, such as drone-heavy builds or high-damage single-shot approaches.

A Public Demo is currently available and provides a better understanding of how much of the core loop has already been implemented, and it offers approximately one hour of gameplay focused on the ACE-001 White Dwarf Mech. Here is the Steam Page.
