Psychic Software’s narrative-heavy RPG arrives on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2 on June 24, with undead rituals, social manipulation, and turn-based combat.
The Necromancer’s Tale is heading to consoles on June 24, 2026. Silver Lining Interactive and Psychic Software confirmed that the gothic RPG will launch globally on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2, with wishlists already open on PS5 and Xbox. The Nintendo Switch 2 page is expected to follow soon.

Set in the 18th century, The Necromancer’s Tale puts players in the role of a noble drawn into forbidden rituals, political games, and the slow pull of dark power.
Players must move through elite society, manage conversations, use deception, handle diplomacy, and deal with the consequences of their choices. Beneath that social layer sits a darker progression path, where alchemy, madness, and necromancy begin to reshape the story.
The game leans heavily into branching narrative, with more than 400,000 words of text and over 180 unique NPCs.
Dialogue choices play a major role, while combat uses a tactical turn-based system centered on undead minions. For players more interested in the story than every fight, the game also includes an optional auto-resolve feature.

The console announcement follows recent awards recognition for The Necromancer’s Tale. The game picked up Best Storytelling and Best Technical Achievement at the Imirt Irish Game Awards 2026, along with a runner-up placement for Best Art Direction. It has also been named an International TIGA finalist.
Psychic Software has been active in game development for decades, with work across online games, mobile titles, platformers, arcade adventures, CRPGs, and more. Silver Lining Interactive, based in the North of England, will publish the console release both digitally and physically.
