A new demo drops ahead of a spring launch on Steam and Nintendo Switch plus limited Switch physical editions in Europe.
It’s been a while since I announced Reptilian Rising on my pages, but today British studios Gregarious Games and Robot Circus have announced a new demo for their time travel squad tactics RPG, set to arrive on Steam on February 18.
The full game is still targeting a spring release on PC via Steam, plus Nintendo Switch, with a limited physical run planned for Switch in Europe through publisher Numskull Games.

Reptilian Rising leans hard into its tabletop look. The game presents battles as if someone animated a pile of retro miniatures on top of hand-built dioramas, with a claymation vibe that makes the maps feel like a display case you can play. An 80s tabletop classics RPG with squads, upgrades, and time-bending abilities at the center of the loop.
In the game, Reptilians invade across the timeline, so the only way to stop them is to fight them across history.
The campaign spans seven time periods, which lets the game jump from ancient battlefields to more modern and future-themed arenas without pretending it all belongs to the same setting. Reptilian Rising turns that structure into a recruitment gimmick too, pulling famous faces into the roster.

The announcement names Winston Churchill, Cleopatra, Albert Einstein, Julius Caesar, and Robin Hood as playable heroes, signaling a party built on recognizable archetypes.
In combat, the hook is time energy. It fuels special actions that mess with positioning and action economy.
Enemy design looks quite original, too. The announcement highlights threats like Tri-Cannon, described as a triceratops mashup with a minigun, plus Dictatorsaur, a boss concept built around multiple villains sharing one body.

In the game, you can replay missions for bonus objectives, hopping between time periods to uncover secrets, plus upgrades that carry forward as you build a stronger squad.
Pricing is already set for both digital and physical versions. On Steam and the Switch eShop, the standard digital edition is priced at 24.99 GBP, 27.99 EUR, or 29.99 USD.
Steam will also offer a higher-priced bundle at 29.99 GBP, 34.99 EUR, or 39.99 USD that includes an OST download code plus a visual novel ebook. For Nintendo Switch physical copies in Europe, the standard edition is listed at 34.99 GBP or 39.99 EUR, while a collector’s edition is listed at 44.99 GBP or 49.99 EUR, with the publisher describing the run as very limited.
The new demo lands February 18 on Steam. The full release window remains spring 2026 for Steam plus Nintendo Switch, with physical Switch editions in Europe. Below is the latest trailer.
