If you loved Disco Elysium, you should definitely check out Hollow Home. This brand-new, grounded isometric RPG is being developed by Ukrainian studio Twigames, which is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to raise $15,000. for its RPG centered on civilian survival in an occupied Ukrainian city.

The isometric narrative RPG campaign kicked off on August 4 and will run for 20 days until August 24, 2026. Twigames says that money raised won’t go toward basic development of the game. Instead, any funds will be used to add more content, refine further, and add extra polish before the planned release later in 2026. Work on Hollow Home began in 2022 following Russia’s full invasion of Ukraine that same year.
Hollow Home follows Maksym, a 14-year-old boy left alone amidst a besieged city. The story begins the day before the invasion.
Players experience the final moments of normal life before the city and its inhabitants face increasing pressure. Locations change as days pass: damaged buildings, inaccessible streets, and characters previously encountered may disappear.

This RPG focuses on exploration, dialogue, resource management, and difficult decisions. Each day, players have a limited number of action points, so they can’t help everyone or pursue all objectives.
Maksym learns practical abilities such as cooking, crafting, scavenging, and first aid by interacting with other survivors and completing quests. Choices affect relationships and determine who survives and contributes to different endings for the game.
Kick rewards are closely tied to Twigames and their development team. Options include having your name in the credits, receiving a signed postcard from Twigames, naming a cat that will appear in the game, or contributing graffiti design that will be placed in the game world.

Physical rewards include Azovstal bracelets made from steel from the final batch before the factory was bombed.
Development draws on fictional characters but also draws from real events and personal experiences. Crunch Leaf Games publishes Hollow Home, planned for PC via Steam. A free demo is already available and introduces Maksym’s story and choice survival systems.
