This week sees the debut of several exciting RPGs and strategy games, including one that closely echoes the style of Jagged Alliance 2. But that’s not all—there are plenty of other intriguing additions to explore. Before diving in, don’t forget: on Wednesday, December 11th, at 6 PM CET, I’ll be participating in the Glorious Companions arena alongside other content creators, and your support will be crucial! I’ll give you more details in the next hours. Let’s see now what is going to be released this week.
Urban Strife
The highly anticipated Urban Strife is finally here (albeit in Early Access). This survival RPG immerses you in a post-apocalyptic world filled with zombies and factions, offering opportunities for negotiation, conflict, or alliance. Its combat system, reminiscent of Jagged Alliance 2, features robust stealth mechanics. I’ve already had the chance to dive in, and the base management system left a strong impression. The game launches on PC via Steam.

Adding new layers to Wartales, The Skelmar Invasion DLC expands the game with a brand-new region and mechanics for fortress assaults. Developed by Shiro Games, this update enhances the RPG’s already engaging gameplay. Set to release on December 10th for PC via Steam.

Entering Early Access on PC via Steam starting December 11th.

The newest chapter in the beloved Shiren the Wanderer series is making its way to PC after debuting on Switch earlier this year. Featuring dungeon crawling and tactical combat, the game continues the franchise’s storied legacy. Launching on December 11th.
WhatRogue: Exile Land
Blending roguelite mechanics with tactical, grid-based map exploration, WhatRogue: Exile Land combines card-based mechanics, unit summoning, and strategic movement in a visually stunning package. I’ve tried it and found the experience captivating. Arriving on PC via Steam on December 12th.
