Flick Shot Rogues Overview

Flick Shot Rogues doesn’t want you to just move a little warrior across a grid and wait for numbers to crunch. Instead, it asks you to line up your shot, pull back, and let your tiny hero ricochet around the battlefield like a pinball armed with a sword.

It’s a turn-based roguelike where tactics meet tactile input, and it’s heading to Steam in September.

Flick Shot Rogues

Made by Butter by the Fish, a three-person studio from Germany, and published by Noodlecake, Flick Shot Rogues takes dungeon crawling and adds a mechanic that feels closer to Peglin or a well-aimed marble flick.

Heroes bounce off walls and enemies, sometimes in controlled arcs and sometimes in total chaos, chaining together hits that can either clear the room or leave you hopelessly stranded.

Each shot is a gamble that still has to fit into a turn-based rhythm, so there’s as much planning as there is satisfaction in watching a good ricochet unfold.

Like any roguelike worth its curses, every run is stitched together from shifting parts. Relics and talents tweak builds in useful ways, while curses pile on risky bonuses that can carry a run or end it.

Maps, enemies, and rewards reshuffle after each defeat, so there’s little chance of repeating the same run twice.

The demo, which has been knocking about on Steam since May, already showed off two of the island’s biomes and a couple of starting heroes, and players seemed to like it too, with 95 percent of the reviews on Steam so far are positive.

The full game promises more of everything: five heroes to fling, ten difficulty levels, and a bigger spread of relics and curses to mix and match. It’s still about that one moment, though, the flick that lines up perfectly, pings across half the board, and leaves nothing standing.

Flick Shot Rogues is arriving on PC via Steam on September 17, 2025. Below are more details and the trailer for the release date.
