A free Steam demo is now available for the sci-fi fantasy RPG, which follows a fugitive test subject through a hidden world of conspiracies, Therians, and tactical squad battles.
Orcania: Curtain is a new single-player roguelite tactical RPG from Hemera Starswirl, now listed on Steam with a free demo available.

The full game does not have a release date yet, but its first playable slice already gives a look at a strange mix of squad tactics, procedural expeditions, and sci-fi fantasy storytelling.
The story follows a fugitive test subject who escapes from a research facility and ends up in Orcania, a hidden world controlled by the United Curtain.
This ruling power keeps the Therians under tight control, treating them as dangerous Exoncept contaminants. From there, the game moves into a larger conspiracy involving another dimension, the search for a cure, and the mystery behind the human Soul Manifest.

Combat is built around party-based tactical battles, with players fighting alongside Animech and Therian allies.
Each character can be shaped through skill trees, while Gnosis pieces add another layer to party building. 50 skill tree options per character and more than 100 pieces of Gnosis, so the focus seems to be on build variety, team roles, and adapting each squad to the threats ahead.
The roguelite side comes from its expedition structure. Runs can change through terrain, vegetation, obstacles, enemies, weather, day and night cycles, and special events.

A fight in open terrain should feel different from one shaped by blockers, enemy placement, or environmental pressure.
Orcania: Curtain mixes anime-styled companions, bioengineered creatures, hidden societies, and darker sci-fi elements without dropping the tactical RPG foundation.
For now, Orcania: Curtain is planned for PC via Steam, with the release date still to be announced. The demo is already available for players who want to test its combat loop, party customization, and expedition-based structure before the full launch.
