The Dead Await adds Act III, new bosses, Arena mode, Z-Tasks, and more endgame progression after Early Access.

The zombie survival deckbuilder The Dead Await has reached its full 1.0 release on Steam and the indie.io Store. Developed by Shotx Studio and published by indie.io, the game is priced at $12.99, with a 35% launch discount available for a limited time.

the Dead Wait

You lead a caravan of survivors through abandoned cities, faction territories, underground bunkers, and zombie-filled zones, always trying to keep food, supplies, morale, and health from falling apart. Every trip into the wasteland can bring new resources, but it can also cost lives.

Combat uses a deck-building system where cards, weapons, perks, and equipment shape each survivor’s role.

The survival layer adds more pressure. Hunger, injuries, sanity, and permanent losses can make a bad expedition hurt long after the battle ends.

Version 1.0 adds Act III, which expands the campaign with new regions, settlements, underground facilities, quests, random events, elite enemies, and bosses. Areas such as Hope, Hell-0, and Zone 99 push the journey deeper into the apocalypse and give returning players more late-game ground to cover.

The full release also brings new progression systems. Players can unlock character skins, complete Z-Tasks for permanent rewards, spend Z-Coins in the new Z-Shop, and store valuable gear in the Vault Safe, which works across save files.

There is also a new Arena mode in Last Haven, built around increasingly dangerous survival encounters and rare rewards.

With its higher level cap, new loot, more recipes, expanded faction rewards, and fresh endgame threats, The Dead Await now has its complete campaign in place. It should fit players who like deckbuilders with real survival pressure, party management, and long-term risk behind every move.
