Stolen Realm was one of the most interesting tactical RPGs of recent years, and today I’m thrilled to share some great news: the team at Burst2Flame Games is working on a sequel. I’ve gathered all the information available so far, and you can find everything we know below.
Burst2Flame Games has announced Stolen Realm 2, taking its turn-based RPG series beyond fantasy territory. Mysterious portals are opening across the Realm, linking it to science-fiction and post-apocalyptic worlds. Dragons and werewolves remain part of the adventure, but the party will also face zombies, aliens, and other threats from these newly connected settings.
The sequel retains the original’s classless approach to character building, letting you select abilities and equipment without committing to a fixed role.
You can mix weapons and skills to create familiar RPG archetypes or more unusual combinations. Solo play and online co-op for up to six people are confirmed, with Burst2Flame emphasizing coordination between different builds during tactical battles.
The developer plans a handcrafted Campaign and a replayable Roguelike mode. The Campaign includes quests, events, and choices that shape the adventure, while Roguelike mode provides a separate way to test different character setups. The developer also promises decisions outside combat, though the announcement does not yet explain their consequences.
Burst2Flame, a three-person team, has also addressed the future of the first game. The studio says it is continuing work on the original Stolen Realm following a recent update, so the sequel announcement comes alongside ongoing support for its predecessor.
The October 1 announcement also described a Kickstarter pre-launch page as available to follow ahead of the funding campaign. Stolen Realm 2 can also be wishlisted on Steam, where no release date has been announced.
