The brand-new trailer for Beyond Galaxyland shown during the 2024 Future Games Show blew me away, and now I can’t wait to dive into this adventure. The game takes players on a journey across different planets in space, accompanied by the most unlikely travel companions, all in a mission to save Earth from a mysterious threat called “The End.”
What is Beyond Galaxyland
Beyond Galaxyland is a retro-futuristic adventure-RPG that transports players into a vibrant, pixelated cosmos filled with danger, humor, and intrigue. Players step into the shoes of Doug, an ordinary high-schooler who, alongside his gun-wielding guinea pig Boom Boom and the sentient MartyBot, embarks on an epic quest across a zoo-like solar system known as Galaxyland.
The mission? Save Earth from an all-powerful entity known only as ‘The End.’ The game combines classic RPG elements with modern twists, offering a blend of tactical turn-based combat, enemy capture mechanics, and a rich narrative that’s both nostalgic and fresh. Each planet in the Galaxyland system presents unique challenges, from neon-lit cities to jungle ravines, all packed with eccentric characters and environmental puzzles that keep the adventure engaging.
The gameplay in Beyond Galaxyland is as expansive as its cosmic setting. Players will explore diverse worlds, each teeming with life and brimming with quests.
