Abalon 2.0: Major Update Released with New Features and Mobile Launch Date

The latest update 2.0 for Abalon, is now live and available for free to existing players. Released in conjunction with the Roguelike Celebration and Steam Scream Fest, this update brings significant new features, including the much-anticipated Progression Tower and Summoner Ranks. Additionally, a mobile release has been confirmed for November 7th on iOS and Android, with pre-registration now open.

Key Features of Abalon 2.0:

  • Progression Tower: A new player leveling system designed to unlock characters, game modes, upgrades, and challenges, rewarding players with XP for every adventure across all characters.
  • Summoner Ranks: A tiered upgrade system linked to player level, encouraging players to explore different characters for optimal progress. These upgrades include new starting spells, items, artifacts, and even guardians.
  • Summoner Upgrades: Each summoner now has three character-specific upgrades that enhance their abilities. The highest tier, Diamond, unlocks extraordinary new powers, like Sylvia’s squirrel barrage or Serpenta’s mind control.
  • Descent Mode: A new ascension-style difficulty mode where players descend into the underworld, facing cumulative challenges to compete for higher scores.
  • Balance Changes: Key changes include ranged units no longer counter-attacking ranged attacks, along with adjustments to abilities such as Plague and Weaken.

The update also features numerous bug fixes and performance improvements based on player feedback. With this new update, Abalon aims to enhance its replayability and depth while expanding its reach with the upcoming mobile version.
