Age of Wonders 4: Dragon Dawn, for the viral fantasy strategy game, Age of Wonders 4, is now available. The original game saw outstanding success, selling more than 250,000 copies in just the first week. Now, the Dragon Dawn expansion is set to provide players with an exciting new dimension of gameplay, featuring an innovative leader type, faction physical appearances, an abundance of new Tomes of Magic, and a brand-new realm to explore.

Age of Wonders 4 Gameplay

Dragon Dawn can be purchased for a suggested retail price of $9.99/£8.49/€9.99 on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. However, those who purchased the Premium Edition of Age of Wonders 4 or the Expansion Pass will receive Dragon Dawn at no extra charge.

In Age of Wonders 4: Dragon Dawn, players are invited to traverse the magical world of dragons. They have the opportunity to ascend as powerful Dragon Rulers, commanding formidable empires, leading reptilian armies, and mastering draconic magic to blaze their way through the battlefield.

The Age of Wonders 4: Dragon Dawn expansion comes packed with enticing features:

  • Dragon Rulers: A new, highly customizable leader type complete with unique skills, equipment, transformations, and events.
  • Lizardfolk: A fresh physical appearance for your factions.
  • Tome of Evolution: Enhances gameplay with new units that progress as they level and additional spells to amplify all evolving units.
  • Tome of Dragons: Bestows spells that summon dragons, harness the might of dragons, and even enable players to become dragons.
  • The Ashen War: A new realm where six powerful elder dragons are embroiled in conflict. The player must carefully select their allies to tip the scales towards their own victory.

Alongside the release of Age of Wonders 4: Dragon Dawn, the developers are launching the free Wyvern Update. This update includes enhancements, upgrades to improve the gaming experience, and balance adjustments based on player feedback. Paradox Interactive and Triumph Studios have also shared a roadmap of free updates scheduled through the end of the year.

Based on community feedback, these updates aim to refine aspects like multiplayer, game balance, and enemy AI, further improving the quality of gameplay for their dedicated fan base.
