Developer AurumDust has announced the latest addition to its critically acclaimed turn-based Ash of Gods series – Ash of Gods: The Way. This tactical, story-driven card game with hand-crafted battles is set to launch in early 2023 on PC via Steam and will transport players back to the fantastical world of Terminus. Players must undertake a dangerous mission to save their kingdom by infiltrating the enemy’s military.
A new trailer has been released to give players a glimpse into the various important features of the game. The trailer showcases tournament battles that take place on different battlefields with ever-changing rules and objectives, as well as a card upgrade system that allows for a wide range of tactical gameplay. The visual novel-like conversations and cutscenes featuring various characters will have an impact on the story and determine the player’s path.
In Ash of Gods: The Way, players follow the story of Finn, a young and talented foster-son of Eik, the Berkanan secret service master. Finn must travel to the rival kingdom of Frisia and participate in three different arenas to gather information on the enemy’s tactics and undermine their position in the upcoming war against Berkana.
With its original two-deck gameplay, unique mission objectives, and diverse array of locations, The Way promises to keep the stakes high and offers players the chance to make critical decisions that will determine the fate of their home and kingdom.
