Daedalic Entertainment and Spitfire Interactive are excited to announce their collaboration on the upcoming superhero epic Capes. The game will be published by Daedalic Entertainment as part of their publishing line-up and will be available later this year on multiple platforms, including PC and consoles such as Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox X/S.
The development of Capes will continue to be led by the Australian studio, Spitfire Interactive. The game is a turn-based strategy game where players control a team of unique heroes as they fight to reclaim their city from evil despots. In this dystopian world, where having superpowers is a crime, the supervillains have taken control, and it’s up to the players to free the city from their grasp.
Players will progress through dark and gritty campaigns, patrol assignments, and side missions that unlock more heroes. As they complete challenges, they can earn skill points to increase their heroes’ powers and abilities, as well as learn more about their lives and backstories. With each hero having unique skills and powers, players must choose their team wisely and master their hero’s abilities to unleash devastating ultimate abilities and defeat the villains.
Capes offers a variety of features, including the ability to play as heroic protectors, assemble a team for each mission, level up heroes with new abilities and upgrades, and face down evil villains. It promises an immersive experience with challenging missions and side-quests, and the opportunity to push the story forward. A brand-new demo of the game will be available during Steam Next Fest, starting February 6 and lasting until February 13.
